AFRO-KHASSO

Moussa founded the Afro-Khasso band in 2001 to keep the tradition going by adding Bambara musical grooves. Alongside his Wife, Lountanding Kanoute, a Singer from a griot family in the Khassonké, Kayes region of Mali, including David Dembele, virtuoso Bass player and former band member of the greatest Malian pop star Vieux Farka Toure. Mamadou Kone, one of the best drummers/Calabash players who was also part of Vieux Farka Toure's band. Mamadou Kone is a childhood friend of Vieux Farka, who went to Institute National Des Arts in Bamako, Mali, where he was classmates with Sidiki Diabate. The Son of Kora virtuoso Toumani Diabate. Afro-Khasso delivers an unforgettable live experience, fusing traditional Khassonké, Indigenous Peoples from Mali West-Africa music with modern Afrobeat, funk, and jazz.
